president: Evangelist Levadie Townsend

Evangelist Levadie Townsend - is a native of Pensacola, FL. She is the daughter of Mr. Bennie Thompson Jr. and Missionary Emmia Brown. She attended the University of West Florida, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. After graduating, she wanted to do something with her time and education that made a difference in the world. She then applied for a direct commission in the Navy Reserve. One year later during Desert Storm, she received and accepted her commission as a Navy Unrestricted Line Officer. She continued her education and earned a Master’s Degree in Management from Troy State University. She served in the Navy Reserve for over 20 years and God blessed her to retire from the Navy Reserves on Aug 5, 2011. She has been a member of the Church of the Living God since 1965. She has served in many areas in the Church to include: Young People Progressive Union(Y.P.P.U.) advisor, youth choir director, church secretary, trustee, New Beginning Ministry for new Christians, women work, District Y.P.P.U. Vice President, District Women Work Ministry Vice President . Currently she serves as the First Lady of Temple #42, 9th District Women Work Ministry President, 9th District Choir member since 1987, National Women Work Ministry Financial Secretary and whatever else her hands find to do. She is married to Overseer Matthew Townsend and they have two children Kayla and Joshua. Her desire is for the women to be on the MOVE for God and make a real difference in the lives of people. Her favorite scripture is Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”
