National Women's Work PRESIDENT

MAREETA D. FOWLER

Evangelist Fowler is the daughter of the late Elder William and Missionary Roberta E. Carr. She was ordained in 1990 and appointed to pastor the Church of the Living God, Temple 350 in Cleveland, Ohio on August 20, 2004. Under her pastorate, many souls have been led to Christ. Her past church involvements have been numerous in positions held at the local, district and national levels.

She received her formal education through Cleveland Public Schools; her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University in 2010, graduating Summa Cum Laude with honors; a master’s degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University in 2011, graduating Magna Cum Laude and a master’s degree in theology from Ashland University where she is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Formational Counseling.

Evangelist Fowler enjoyed a 32 year career working for, the Ameritech Telephone Company, in corporate management, until her retirement in November, of 2000. Amongst her numerous awards are, “Boss of the Year” from the Professional Women of America Association, and nomination for, “Women of the Year”, from the Communication Workers of America and the City of Cleveland. In May of 2008, she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.

Evangelist Mareeta launched, “Overcoming Life Publications”, in 1996. Her goal is to produce printed materials that will help believers reach a higher level of calling in their lives. To date she has written and published four devotional study guides. In addition, Evangelist Fowler was responsible for writing the bible study guides for the National Women’s Work ministry for nine years. She is also a national conference and seminar speaker and has a God given ability to communicate with a rare combination of authority, humor and practicality.

She has been married to William E. Fowler for 33 years, and together they have five children, twenty six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Evangelist Fowler enjoys helping to build the kingdom of God and has a real passion for teaching and preaching the word of God.
